About Me
Cinematographer. Filmmaker. Storyteller.
My first camera was a toy at the age of 5. My second camera was a 35mm Minolta XG-7 at the age of 12. I became obsessed with film developing and enlarging prints in High School. My first video camera was a SD Canon XL-1. Much has changed since then, but the passion to capture beautiful images has not changed. After a business degree from the University of Utah and years in an investment banking environment, I returned to my passion of photography/videography. I have worked on everything from full length feature films to music videos. I have received awards from Sony, Apple and the Utah Film Commission. I have also taught video production classes at Salt Lake Community college. I currently reside in sunny and beautiful St. George Utah.
The key to any successful production is helping the clients idea flow into something they envision. This is different of course for every client, but the process is the same. It is a journey that is extremely rewarding for both sides. It involves exploring possibilities, brainstorming, refining and finally capturing the concept through image and sound.
